DEFER is a modified distribution of Bruce Firmware, based on tag 1.16.1,
commit ba519c936c87b89c9c667c15b932d7faca5360d5.
DEFER's own release version is 2.3.3; the upstream base version is not the
DEFER release version. Original copyright and license notices are preserved.
The firmware's GNU Affero General Public License version 3 is reproduced
without alteration in firmware/LICENSE.txt. Bundled libraries retain their
own licenses and notices in the corresponding source tree.

Corresponding source for this distribution is provided at source/index.html
as readable JSON parts with SHA-256 checksums, along with a reconstruction
script. The browser can assemble a ZIP locally; no ZIP or tar.gz file is
hosted on Neocities. Source delivery is separate from the USB flash operation.

The controller uses the original Bruce/TFT_eSPI fonts; the Web UI font has
not been changed by DEFER 2.3.3.

Changes include application/menu graphics and animation, a silent firmware
configuration, WHITEBOARD commands, the embedded file Web UI, and the USB
installer. No upstream license text has been replaced with a custom license.
